How has today’s culture affected your faith? …and why haven’t you noticed?

It is said that if you place a frog into a pot of boiling water, it will hop out right away to escape the danger. But. . . if you place the frog in cool water and gradually turn up the heat, the cold-blooded amphibian will continue to adjust to the temperature and not be aware of the threat until it’s too late.

Voilà! . . . Frog stew!

Okay, okay… We know that’s not scientifically accurate. But before you dial an animal rights protection agency, consider the lesson. Have you noticed a change in the spiritual temperature? Or have you just adapted your faith to your surroundings and gone about your life?
