GET READY FOR A FUN, REFRESHING WEEKEND WITH YOUR CHURCH FAMILY! The Remnant Family Retreat at Rough Acres Ranch in Boulevard, CA, is always an amazing time!—come expecting God to move in a big way! We will worship, pray and learn together, but we’ll be sure to leave some time for family fun and recreation!!
The Remnant Family Retreat is happening June 13-15 at beautiful Rough Acres Ranch, located on over 1,600 acres of private open terrain in the McCain Valley. (It used to be the Chargers training camp in the 60’s & 70’s!) Nestled in the mountains of Boulevard, CA, there are plenty of hiking trails, a disc golf course (18 holes), a rock climbing wall, big slides, ping pong, foosball, swimming pool (in the summer months) and a rec center offering basketball, volleyball, hockey, and more! YES, THE POOL WILL BE OPEN!! (So bring extra towels!)
Each family will have their own four-star-hotel quality cabin & bathroom! The cabins are fully furnished and the beds have linens, so you won’t need a sleeping bag! You WILL want to bring bath towels, as the bathrooms do not supply those. Other items to bring are: Your Bible, a notebook, a flashlight, and anything else you would use for an overnight stay.
What should you expect? Fun family games, fellowship around the campfire, worship and learning together as a family and delicious food! Our meetings will take place in a beautiful lodge with comfortable seating and we’ll be enjoying our meals in a spacious dining hall off of a brand new commercial kitchen. The extended weather forecast for the weekend is a high of 82° and a low of 46°, so pack accordingly!
Cost is $135 for adults. Kids (17 and under) are only $65
Our retreat will begin with Dinner at 6PM on Friday. Please arrive at the ranch before then (but not before 4pm), so that you have time to settle into your cabin before we eat. The retreat will end with a worship service on Sunday, June 23 at 11AM followed by lunch — It’s FATHER’S DAY, so please plan to join us for this special time together! If at all possible, please plan to stay for this meal, because we prepare enough food for everyone attending the retreat!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
Rough Acres Ranch, 2750 McCain Valley Rd, Boulevard, CA 91905
Drive West on Interstate 8. Exit the Campo / 94 / Boulevard Exit #65. (Before Golden Acorn Casino)
Turn left (South) onto Ribbonwood Rd. Turn left (East) on Old Hwy 80. Turn left (North) on McCain Valley Rd.
Shortly before the pavement ends on McCain Valley road, there is a Y. Take the left (west) fork into Rough Acres Ranch. You will see the Remnant welcome signs at the entrance.
THINGS TO KNOW:
- Don’t forget to bring towels!
- Most cabins are equipped with refrigerators.
- No pets allowed at Rough Acres Ranch
- No smoking inside the buildings and butts must be thrown in the trash.
- Beware of rattlesnakes! Cougar tracks have been spotted, so remain in pairs when hiking.
- There is cactus along the trails– shorts/sandals are not recommended for hiking.
- We plan to have a campfire if it’s not too windy. You are welcome to bring camp chairs.
- Let us know if anything was found broken or broke during our retreat, so we can report it.
- There is a whiteboard in the lodge, so look for announcements and scheduling changes.
