Upon your initial arrival at Remnant. . .
You’ll find clearly marked signs as to where to park and enter. Upon entering, you’ll find a casual atmosphere, music —and food! Someone will greet you and hand you a folded bulletin. This bulletin contains information about Remnant to help familiarize you quickly with everything that’s going on. Enjoy some coffee or other beverage, donuts or homemade coffee cake (or whatever happens to be at the refreshment station that week). Then, just hang out until the service begins.
Remnant values times of conversation and fellowship—don’t be surprised if the service doesn’t start at the designated time! We hope that the casual atmosphere is an enjoyable experience and a welcomed change to the busy pace of your week.
During a service at Remnant. . .
You’ll experience genuine, heart-felt worship. The music at Remnant has a rock style and is loud (not loud in a harsh, irritating way—just good and loud). We make no apologies for the high energy worship music; it’s a part of who we are at Remnant. So listen, enjoy, sing. It’s an anthem of worship to an amazing God!
You’ll also experience practical, engaging teaching from God’s Word, the Bible. Our pastors study hard and pray a lot in order to bring the people of Remnant the instruction that God intends for them. Whether in a series, or working our way through a book, the messages you’ll hear on Sundays at Remnant do not compromise the truth.
Oh yeah, and did I mention we enjoy a good laugh? Not goofy or maniacal laughter, but appropriate laughter—you know, like when something’s funny. Yeah, our pastors like to point out the humor in life and it kinda leaks out into their Sunday messages. So laugh. It’s good for you.
As far as getting involved at Remnant. . .
You’ll be invited regularly to take part in projects, events and outreaches that Remnant is doing. Why? Because we believe it’s important to take what we learn and convert it into action. That’s how you grow and that’s how you touch other people’s lives. So if something catches your interest, jump right in! If you have a new idea that Remnant hasn’t thought of, tell us. We’ll be honest with you if it’s a bad idea! And if it’s a good one, and we see God in it, then we’ll jump on board.
We want to be active, not passive, at Remnant. So if there’s a need and we can do something about it—we’re on it. We encourage you to do the same. Even if it’s as simple as greeting people when they arrive; the size of the task is not the issue. Just do something.
